The Bachelor of Film is Myanmar’s next milestone international degree program in creative media, offering global recognition and a direct pathway to studying abroad in filmmaking. Introduced by AES Myanmar - Creative Media Institute in collaboration with SAE University College, this comprehensive 3-year degree program is designed for aspirig filmmakers who want both strong foundations at home and international exposure overseas.
Students will complete their first year at AES Myanmar, where they build essential skills in filmmaking, storytelling, production, and visual media. Upon successful completion of Year 1, students will be awarded a Higher Education Diploma allowing them to enter the creative and film industry as emerging professionals. They will then continue Year 2 and Year 3 at SAE University College, gaining hands-on experience, global industry insights, and an internationally recognized Bachelor’s degree.

Higher Education Diploma in Filmmaking
Course Overview
The Higher Education Diploma in Filmmaking is academically equivalent to the first year of the Bachelor of Film program at SAE University College. Upon successful completion, students are eligible to progress directly into Year 2 of the Bachelor of Audio and are equipped with foundational skills for entry-level roles in the audio and entertainment industry.
Students will learn from concept development to post-production, students explore every stage of the filmmaking process through hands-on, project-based learning. Guided by experienced educators and industry professionals, the curriculum integrates creative storytelling, technical filmmaking skills, and professional production workflows, ensuring students develop a strong foundation and are prepared to enter the film and media industry with confidence.

Scholarship Procedure

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
BACHELOR DEGREE (Australia/Dubai)
Applicants from all applicant groups who wish to study a Bachelor degree course must satisfy the following entry requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age (or turning 18 during your first year of studies) or 17years before the commencement of the first term;
- Grade/Year 12 according to the Australian curriculum. Click here to check for high school / secondary school equivalencies.
- Completion of AES Myanmar - “Higher Education Diploma of Filmmaking” Certificate (HEDF) and Transcript of the HEDF to join the Second Year - Bachelor of Film.
- English: IELTS 6.0 overall (no band below 5.5), or TOEFL/PTE equivalent.

Additional for English Language Proficiency:
